For those looking to dance to a different beat, the small but always packed Club Viva offers fantastic music five days a week. Club Viva is a nightclub in St. Louis, Missouri. It’s a downstairs club with electric music including a dedicated Latin night with Salsa lessons.
Club Viva features Latin, Roots reggae, and international music throughout the week. Freewheeling bartenders serve up tasty nightly specials, and though most of the music is pumping through the Club Viva! is via DJ, the club also occasionally attracts international reggae acts. Hour- long dance lessons are free prior to Latin nights, and a diverse crowd is always happy and willing to give directions.
Music which is sometimes live has a great, awesome atmosphere and is very entertaining, with a variety of drinks and reasonable prices. Definitely, Club Viva is a great place to go dancing. The whole environment of the Salsa lessons and the club afterwards is very welcoming to beginners. They offer a complimentary intro to Salsa & Bachata Lesson on Thursdays and Saturdays with paid cover. No partner is necessary. No pre-registration necessary. Show up about 10 minutes before each class. Wear comfortable clothing. It is recommended not to wear shoes with a rubber sole.
