Dbar Boston, Guide & Review
Great LGBT restaurant & bar with a nice atmosphere, drinks, and very good food. dbar is Dorchester’s premiere destination for fine dining, delicious cocktails, and exciting nightlife. Open seven days a week, dbar is a full-service restaurant that seamlessly transforms into a nightclub and lounge as the evening progresses. The local LGBTQ + scene knows that it’s also a place to stay long after the shrimp cocktail and steak have been served. This is particularly true when the Dorchester spot hosts its weekly themed nights, like its Show Tunes Tuesdays, which feature lively sing-alongs, Pop Rocks Karaoke every Friday, as well as Magnum Saturdays, where folks let loose with an LBFTQ + dance party.
They recommend making a reservation for dinner and watching as the restaurant evolves into a vibrant nightlife scene on one of these special evenings. dbar is a full-service restaurant offering seasonal New England fare and an extensive wine list. The dishes are worth the hype, with comfort food favorites including their meaty veal and pancetta bolognese -but don’t fill up too
quickly because the restaurant morphs into a nightclub and lounge every night of the week, especially popular on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Dbar features a mixed crowd, a chic, moody atmosphere, great food and drink, a romantic atmosphere, late-night dining, state-of-the-art lighting, a sound system, great vibe, chic decor, stylish interior, heated outdoor dining, large portions, fine dining, creative cuisine, classic cocktails, great patio, and best brunch.
The interior’s charm harkens to the space’s former life as an Irish pub, but under the vision of owner Brian Piccini, dbar transformed into the ultimate neighborhood restaurant, for Dorchester locals and curious visitors alike. The outdoor patio is a gorgeous space and the weather is getting warmer, time to head over. Definitely, all-around amazing!
