If you are searching for a chill spot and a large beer garden, Dead Wax Digbeth is an excellent choice. You and your friends may enjoy a range of beer or beverages while snacking on wood-fired sourdough pizzas. Welcome to Birmingham‘s newest music-loving boozer. ‘Beer, Vinyl, Pizza’ is the simple (and excellent) motto at Dead Wax Digbeth. Dead Wax Digbeth collaborates with various brewers around the country to provide the most excellent beer possible. They have classics like London‘s Beavertown and Brighton’s Laine Brew Co and excellent new brews to taste. At Dead Wax, the music is always on vinyl. They offer over 4,000 albums for you to look through, and their staff and regular DJs will even play your records if you bring them with you.

As if that weren’t enough, they also serve some of the most excellent stone-baked pizza in town. You may select from vegan, beef, or vegetarian alternatives made with sourdough. Dead Wax Digbeth, a Birmingham venue and ‘vinyl bar,’ features some of the city’s hottest live artists, who take to the stages at the 120/230/100-capacity multi-room venue, once punk, metal, rock, and alternative haunt The Wagon & Horses in Digbeth’s creative area. Dead Wax Digbeth has been completely restored and enlarged by Brighton’s Laine Pub Co and now has live music venues both upstairs (120 capacity) and outdoors in the ‘Duck Bath’ yard (230 capacity). The main bar area (100 capacity) has craft beer from Beavertown and Laine Brew Co., as well as guest tap lines from local brewers such as Dig Brew Co., and a Dead Wax Pizza menu with new carnivore, vegetarian, and vegan options overseen by city food tastemaker Anthony Duffy.

Music lovers and vinyl enthusiasts are invited to choose and play albums and singles from the bar’s vast 4000 record collection and enjoy vinyl-only performances from a comprehensive line-up of DJs in a bright and colorful setting developed and constructed by local artists in the heart of Digbeth. The visual identity for this addition to Birmingham’s live music landscape is completed by a mural curated by in-demand street artist Gent48, which featured influential Birmingham musicians, bands, and DJs such as Big Bear Records, Catapult Club, Chicks Dig Jerks, ColdRice, Die Das Der, Distorted Tapes, Birmingham Promoters, Iron Man Records, This Is Tmrw, Punch Records, and Sweat, among others. Birmingham Promoters, Sonic Gun, KILLER WAVE, and DIE DAS DER have all provided industry knowledge and assistance to the new enterprise.
