Gaels Public House & Sports is a great Irish pub in Kansas City for an amazing time. Located between the Plaza and Brookside in beautiful Kansas City, Gaels Public House & Sports is the creation of Derrick Bachman, a long-time fixture in Kansas City’s culinary scene. This century-old building started out as a tavern, and Derrick has transformed it into a stunning gathering spot, where you’ll find families from local neighborhoods, students, and friends Derrick has made from his decades in the food industry. Open seven days a week, Gaels Public House & Sports offers lunch specials, food specials nights and a Tuesday trivia contest. A weekend menu is available from 10 pm to 2 am on Saturday and Sunday.
Gaels Public House & Sports is the first Kansas City restaurant to be designated a “Safe Place” for youth in crisis to go for help. Safe place sites work with Synergy Services, an organization that specializes in crisis intervention. You’ll enjoy meeting the diverse staff at Gaels Public House & Sports, where there’s three bars and 26 televisions playing the latest music, videos and sports. Two main dining rooms and the original-sized bar create a lively atmosphere during Chiefs, Royals and college games. One room can be reserved for private events, with its own video and sound system, perfect for corporate meetings or groups with A/V needs. It’s even equipped with a light and sound system for wedding receptions and parties, and has its own bar. There is a full parking lot across the street from Gaels Public House & Sports for off-street parking as well as a huge patio with separate smoking area. Gaels Public House & Sports operates Monday from 11:00 am – 12:00 am, Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 am – 12:00 am, and Saturday 10:00 am – 12:00 am. Gaels Public House & Sports features absolutely top notch food; lots of drink choices; absolutely incredible staff who are attentive, friendly and accommodating; clean decor; excellent service; and nice & welcoming atmosphere.
