Photos of Garage Bar

Garage Bar is a Hip bar/eatery in a former garage for brick-oven pies & Southern chow, with a vast patio—relaxed beverages and food in an old service station. Garage Bar, like Proof On Main, is part of the 21c family, as seen by its extensive bourbon inventory. You’ll eat and drink in a converted auto repair garage, and the bar makes full use of its outside area, with picnic tables out front and table tennis off to one side, surrounded by AstroTurf-covered seats. All the drinks are delicious, but you should start with an oyster shooter: oyster + vodka + Bloody Mary mix. And don’t miss the art project out front: it’s two automobiles set for a head-on collision, but it takes weeks for it to happen. And then you’ll show up one day, and they’ll be squished.

Garage Bar, located in downtown Louisville‘s NuLu or East Market District, was named the greatest pizza establishment in Louisville by Food & Wine magazine. Garage Bar is located in a former auto-service garage and now serves an eclectic variety of artisan beers, seasonal cocktails, and well-known Kentucky bourbons. Garage Bar is a great place to unwind with some pizza and a beverage, and sometimes try your hand at one of their illuminated ping-pong tables. A handful of unique Louisville bars may be found in NuLu, often known as New Louisville, a hip, up-and-coming area. Garage Bar, a bar/restaurant with fantastic brick oven pizzas and a beautiful terrace located in a converted mechanic shop, is one of our faves! I feel like I’ve stepped into a scene from the Cars movie, only without Owen Wilson damaging his career (psst – remember when Owen Wilson was in Steve Zissou?

His character was originally from Louisville. His accent, on the other hand, was not). This vibrant bar in the art gallery and boutique-lined NuLu neighborhood effortlessly blends high and low. Vintage tires cover the walls of this old filling station, and the bar serves house-made tonics and creative cocktails, hangover-curing oyster shooters, farm-to-table pizzas, and a range of artisan hams. The overhead doors open at night, and the terrace comes alive with trendy assistant curators competing over table tennis bragging rights. So, this is one of the best bars Louisville has to offer you! If you are in the city, we recommend visiting this bar at least once. Go with your family, friends, or loved ones for a memorable time!
