The Lizard Lounge is a nightclub situated between Harvard Square and Porter Square on Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge. It is below the restaurant Cambridge common. It may be a small basement bar, but it is known for the musicians it hosts. The owners also own Cambridge

Common and Toad – another live music venue. They carry a large selection of beers, including many local ones such as those made at Cambridge brewing company. 

The Lizard Lounge is known for showcasing rock, blues, and jazz. It hosts two well-known bands year by year, session Americana and club DE’LF, both of which are known to have multiple guests sit in with them and jam. There is an open mic session on Monday nights and a poetry slam on Sunday nights. There are many loyal fans of this nightclub and its intimate setting for live music. The bar has been open since 1996. 

The classic spot bar has a stylish lounge bar with dark woods and copper bowl lights, serving drinks and tapas to music lovers, there’s a safe environment with great reasonable prices on drinks, the staffs are very honest and upfront about deals, and overall a great place to host socials, the security is usually tightened with checks on the door, people monitoring the dance floor at all time and extra care from the bar staff. At Lizard lounge, they offer two rooms something for everyone: Room 1:R&B, Hip Hop, House & upfront anthems: Room 2:Pop, Indie, Rock, Cheese & party! Amazing table & group packages are available. The classic spot has a nice location with a good atmosphere kept upbeat. It is simply the best place to be with friends and family for good times.
