Local Tap San Francisco, Guide & Review
Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a good spot to watch a game with great food and drinks! They also have some decent game day specials! Practically “in the show” of Oracle Park, Local Tap is a fun and lively bar & grill located between the SOMA and South Beach neighborhoods in the heart of San Francisco. Neighborhood tavern for sports, drinks, and few New American bites in spacious second-floor digs. Established in 2015. Although new ownership and a remodel, there is history infused in the bar’s new decor. The front corner features a collection of black-and-white photographs paying homage to the bar’s original owners, and the current landlords, Ken and Jerry.
Known for their bar bites and award-winning chicken tenders and wings, they’ve over a dozen TVs showing nearly “every game, everyday” which gives them year-round appeal for serious sports watching, drinking, and casual dining for everyone. Featuring over 20 beers on draft and a full bar with specialty cocktails, mixed drinks, and assortment of fine wines and beers. Local Tap also features great friendly & attentive bartenders; decent food choices; casual atmosphere; reasonable pricing; great wings; awesome high tables and full tables; plenty of comfy indoor bar seatings; exquisite beer selection; and lots of TVs both indoors & outdoors. Local Tap also serves appetizers, sandwiches, and more. Local Tap operates Monday through Saturday 11:30 am – Close and Sunday 9:30 am – Close. Solid sports bar without being overwhelmingly a sports bar. So a good place to meet if you have some friends who aren’t into watching the game.
What a great little sports bar with a large selection of craft-style, local, and traditional draft and bottled beers. Highly recommended for sports lovers to have a fun-filled time with your friends and meet other sports fanatics.
