MacNiven’s Restaurant and Bar Indianapolis, Guide & Review

The classic Scottish meal immortalized by Robert Burns in his 1787 poem “Address to a Haggis” is served at MacNiven’s. Haggis is a meal made of minced lamb liver and hog heart cooked with onions and oats for roughly three hours and served with mashed potatoes and neeps (turnips). Try MacNiven’s haggis sampler, “a small piece” of Scottish haggis served with brown bread and whipped butter, to see if you can get it. MacNiven’s, which has a pleasant décor of dark wood and brick, as well as framed photos of Scotland and some TVs, provides a vast range of Scotch and more than 100 beers. MacNiven’s has two entrances: one for the bar and another for the restaurant.
