Old Forge Distillery are makers of hand forged Tennessee spirits. Welcome to Old Forge Distillery, maker of moonshines, gin, cream liqueurs, bourbon whiskey and other premium craft distilled spirits. They’re nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, next to the historic Old Mill in Pigeon Forge. They invite you to go and experience their family-friendly distillery. See their stills in action, sample their spirits, browse their bottle shop and enjoy craft cocktails in their lounge and patio area.
Known for their heritage and focus on innovation, they hand forge spirits using stone-ground grains and fresh mountain water. With a robust line of moonshine flavors, including Oatmeal Cookie, Chocolate, Coffee and Bananas Foster, they’ve something for everyone. But, they aren’t just moonshine. Their other spirit offerings include cream liqueurs, bourbon whiskey, gin, rum and much more. The name, Old Forge, was inspired by the iron forge that sat on the grounds and built a community. The Old Mill, built in 1830, is still in continuous operation today. They continue that heritage by stone grinding their own quality grains where they once did, combining old-fashioned methods of the 18th century settlers with the modern-day know-how of their Head Distiller. Visitors to Old Forge Distillery can experience a variety of different spirits and flavors. Keeping true to the area and its history, they draw inspiration for their flavored moonshines, like Chocolate, French Toast, Coffee and Peach, from the nearby Old Mill Kitchens. Many of the cream liqueur flavors, like Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Coconut, Peanut Butter Cream and Oranges and Cream, are derived from ice cream flavors featured in the Old Creamery.
Water and grains at Old Forge Distillery are the essential components of making great whiskey. Their founders settled here for both the water source and the land to build a mill for grinding grains, laying the foundation for crafting Old Forge spirits today.
