Peter McManus Café New York, Guide & Review
Peter McManus Cafe is the oldest family-run bar in New York City, serving fine food with good spirits since 1936! Indoor and outdoor dining available, as well as Takeout/Delivery. HOURS: 12 PM-4 AM – 7 days/week. You would expect a historic bar to have a historically good whiskey list, and you would be right!
Prepared with the freshest ingredients and made to order, we offer a wide range of Irish-influenced, American pub fare including specials that change daily. Our award-winning Corned Beef and McManus Reuben highlight the menu, while the Chicken Wings and Burgers have made several “Best” lists in their own right! Peter McManus Cafe Reasonable prices, well air-conditioned, chill low key environment, good, Irish pub food, ginormous beer selection, friendly and accomodating owners, and amazingly delicious burgers. Ultimately, this is a decent standard pub with very kind bartenders and servers who are friendly and attentive.
Whether it’s a celebratory night out, or just getting together to watch the big game—you’ll feel right at home at McManus. Their dining room operates on a first-come, first-served basis, though with enough advance notice – they do take reservations for large parties of 13 or more. We can accommodate groups of 12—150, and our event team will happily work with you to tailor the party to your needs. McManus is the perfect spot for that “Big” birthday celebration, bridal or baby shower, going-away bash, comic-con costume party, company holiday event, or “Just-because-it’s-Wednesday” party.
