In the spring of 2016, Rooftop Reds launched the world’s first commercially-viable urban rooftop vineyard in Brooklyn. Our mission is ambitious, going well beyond merely bringing viticulture to the urban agriculture industry. Rooftop Reds is spearheading innovation in the New York State wine market and planting the seeds for a new generation of viticulture enthusiasts.
Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Friday 5:00 PM – 2 AM, Saturday 4 PM – 2 AM, and Sunday 4 PM – 12 AM. Each year our unique rooftop vineyard produces between 20-25 cases of wine from our Brooklyn vines. The majority of our wine portfolio comes from our vineyards on Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes wine region. Rooftop Reds at the Navy Yard has friendly staff, a great atmosphere, a beautiful setup, pretty good wine, a spacious rooftop, plenty of seating for everyone, an awesome selection of wines, a variety of drinks that are reasonably priced, breathtaking views, and very laid back vibe.
Would highly recommend spending time here on a day where the weather is amazing! Fun place to hang out with friends and enjoy a glass of wine! Reds top Reds is always a great time and it’s an excellent place for small to big groups and dates. It’s a cute covered space where they were able to put up decorations.
