Lovers of smooth jazz ‘n blues can’t do much better than this live music venue Exposition Park, which has a reputation for bringing high talent around the world. Even heavy metal musicians like Wynton Marsalis and Erykah Badu have played gigs here in the past. And Sandaga’s regular list of artists reads like a list of who’s in the local music scene, with the regular ones comprising Grammy Award nominees, Shelly Carroll and Brad Leali. If jazz is not your thing, don’t worry. The club also brings DJs who use everything from hip-hop and house to R&B and reggae.

Across the street from Fair Park is the Lounge-y Sandaga, a venue for discriminating musicians. Exposition Avenue Club is a glorious jewel with its amazing bookings, from reggae night to jazz. The Erykah Badu band is often found on the local stage, and the Queen herself is known for delivering unexpected performances from time to time. On weekends in particular, every inch of space vibrates into the grooviest frequency.
