Sullivan’s Tap Boston, Guide & Review
Sullivan’s Tap in Boston’s Oldest Sports Bar! First opened in 1933, we pride ourselves on being the hub for all of the biggest sports fans in Boston. Conveniently located just a few steps away from TD Garden, we are the perfect stop to catch the game either on-screen on in real life. With a multitude of bar games and tons of giant TVs, there’s no better hub for sports than Sully’s.
If you’re looking for a no-frills, high-energy spot to grab a few beers and shots with friends before a Celtics or Bruins game, look no further than Sullivan’s. Sullivan’s Tap features a welcoming crowd, awesome bartenders, a fun atmosphere, pleasant staff, friendly patrons with outstanding service, amazing pub games, and live sports. This is the spot at which to drink before and after a game, play some pool, drink some cheap domestic beers, and soak up the classic dive bar vibes.
A Boston institution, and one of the last remaining bars that dates back to the old Garden, Sullivan’s proximity to the home of the Celtics and Bruins makes it one of the rowdiest places to pregame, postgame, or watch without a ticket. Pool tables and video games and sports memorabilia only add to the spectacle. An excellent place with a great feel. This is where the real Boston sports fan watches a local game! Sullivans is all about the atmosphere. The bartenders were great, engaging with all their customers. They have a good selection of beer in bottles but are limited on tap. Once the bar seats all fill up it’s standing room only but can get filled pretty quick. I see this bar as a great bar for before Bruins or Celtics game drinks rather than an after-party.
