The Craic Kansas City, Guide & Review
Craic is an Irish word for fun/ enjoyment that has been brought into the English language usually when mixed with alcohol and/or music. Book your next party with them and treat your guests to Irish fare and drink. The Craic opened on August 23rd in time for a great Parkville Days weekend, lots of family and friends and much of Parkville came to see them for their opening. Their location, originally constructed in 1927, served as Parkville’s first US Post office. They remodeled it into a comfortable and welcoming space on Main Street that offers the community a new inviting place to eat, drink, and gather.
The Craic operates Monday through Friday from 4 pm – 9 pm, and Friday & Saturday from Noon – 10 pm and Sunday The Craic is Closed. While there is beer and whiskey a plenty, don’t miss out on the heartly, traditional food at The Craic. Whether it’s the beef stew paired with their expertly-poured Guinness or a glass of whiskey with their delicious Reuben, you’ll leave The Craic happy with booth food and drink. The Craic features great music; strong & tasty drinks that are reasonably priced – The Craic offers an unexpectedly impressive collection of whiskies, spirits, beers, and wines; friendly and knowledgeable staff and bartenders; great friendly crowd – the locals are friendly and before long when you’re there you’ll be enjoying lively conversation and tasty libations; wonderful service; plenty of comfy seatings; great lighting & sound system; and chic decor.
If you go there, be certain to check out their private room in the back. It’s particularly carved into the rock and has a very cool vibe. Overall The Craic is a cool Irish spot in downtown Parkville. Highly recommended checking out for an amazing & unforgettable experience in Kansas City. Definitely worth the trip of you want some Irish pub atmosphere.
