The Harbor Los Angeles, Guide & Review
With the work day winding down, an energetic happy hour energizes – highlighted by a thoughtful west coast wine list and 20 beers on tap, carefully selected from breweries within 40 miles. A showpiece double-sized bar connects the vaulted indoor atrium, classic jukebox, complete with cocktail tables and bar seats, to the open-air patio that doubles as a beer garden. Harbor Room is the tiniest bar in Los Angels bar in the country, and the third smallest bar in the county.
Hyperlocal brews range from Boomtown Brewery ingenue Belgian White Ale to Smog City Brewing’s Smoked Smaug Lager, while cocktails include standards and whimsical concoctions, such as a Collins with fragrant kiwi shrub and Thai basil, a Mezcal with kaffir-infused mezcal and gooseberry cordial, or a Scotch with nutty hojicha tea and lemon oleo-saccharum. Look out for cultural programming such as local brewery nights, wine tastings, artisanal ice cream carts, a pop-up flower shop, and live music.
