Fantastic Irish restaurant and bar. Great place with a lovely Irish owner! The Plough is located in the old city District of Philadelphia, just a stone’s throw from the birthplace of America, Independent wall. The Plough is an authentic Irish pub renowned for its friendly staff and patrons, and it’s great atmosphere, and highly celebrated food. At The Plough & Stars, food is described as Western European with a strong Irish influence, and they’re determined to bring the authentic taste of Ireland to Philadelphia. Their dishes, sauces, and breads are prepared with care in-house from scratch using as many seasonal ingredients from as many local, responsible farms as possible.
A wide variety of pints & traditional fare like fish ‘n’ chips in an airy, former bank. It’s the perfect place for a quiet pint, a tasty meal, your favorite sporting event, a lively music session, or just to rest your feet for a while. The Plough & Stars brunch is on Saturdays and Sundays 11:30 am – 3:00 pm. They’re open 7 days a week for outdoor dining on their patio, indoor dining at 100℅ capacity.

What a beautiful place that smells great from a burning fireplace. Definitely recommended!
