Art-minded watering hole serving cocktails and beer in vintage-cool digs with a photo booth. Great hole in the wall. Great dive bar with great prices. The photo booth in the very back is a great way to remember your night. . Convenient to grab a drink before heading to a show at the Golden Gate Theater. This art deco themed bar is located in the downtown /SOMA area at 6th and Market. They have a lovely long bar that serves up classic cocktails to basic beer and shots.
The Rumpus Room features amazing happy hour, very retro decor, good beer selection including local brews, also with full bar; friendly, attentive & professional staff; good strong & tasty drinks which are reasonably priced; real live professional singer’s; great bartenders with cool excellent service; fun people; good music; laid back vibe; plenty of comfy seatings; a nice variety of liquor; and great atmosphere. Their main bar opens up to a small dance floor in the back with additional seating. Upstairs they have a mezzanine that is accessed via a spiral staircase and can fit 20 to 25 people. The downstairs space can fit about 50 people. Their space includes two restrooms with one being ADA.
They sometimes post set times of concerts behind the bar. Nice bar to chill and hang out for a beer. Worth the visit!
