The Sloop Tavern Seattle, Guide & Review
The Sloop Tavern is one of the best dive bars of Ballard, Seattle. They’re the original home of super mug or as they like to call it the slooper; 34oz of the coolest beer in town. Great bar food including our world famous hand breaded fish and chips. The Sloop Tavern has 15 total taps including 1 cider tap and 5 rotating taps. The Sloopersize is 33.8oz of the coldest beer in town served in a chilled mug. Fun fact: The Sloop Tavern sells the most draft Rainier beer in the state of Washington. The Sloop Tavern menu consists of classic pub grub but is the best known for their hand breaded world famous fish and chips. There are definitely a lot of regulars that come here and it makes it feel very local, but it’s a nice spot off the main part of Market to get away from the normal stuff.
Made from wild Alaskan cod, cut and beer battered in house. Sloop burgers are locally butchered by Better Meat co and never frozen. They make their own burger sauce and along with freshly hand cut fries is one of the best deals in town. On the sandwich side of the menu we oven roast turkey, ham, and roast beef from their local butcher. Sliced thin and piled high, its the simplicity that makes it good. The Sloop Tavern features good bar food selection; reasonable menu prices; friendly & excellent service; an amazingly awesome old school atmosphere with pull tabs, pool, and darts; covered seating in the back; friendly, professional and attentive staff; amazingly awesome crowd; chic decor; awesome music; great DJs; stylish interior; strong delicious drinks; divey vibes; and state-of-art lighting and sound system.
It’s a great place to grab take out after a full day of work. It’s also a fun date-night destination and a great space for meeting groups of friends. Fun place to watch football and hangout with friends. Highly recommended checking out for an amazing and unforgettable experience in Seattle.
