The Up & Up is a craft cocktail bar in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. Follow the illuminated arrow pointing down the stairs leading from MacDougal Street into a historic space, once home to the Gaslight Cafe, the birthplace of the Beat Generation and venue for some of the most storied musical acts. Here, nestled among the William Morris wallpaper, marble, brass, and wood, you will find a new kind of neighborhood cocktail bar. One where hospitality and skill work in concert. The Up & Up bar opening hours are Monday – Wednesday 5:00 – 1:00 am, Thursday – Friday 5:00- 2:00am, Saturday 4:00pm – 2:00am,and on Sunday 4:00pm – 1:00am. The bar venue features great drinks, a hip atmosphere, creative cocktails, Excellent service, a hot owner a Stylish interior, a very cool vibe, lovely ambiance, friendly bartenders, and staff attentive and ready to help. Highly recommend! Great hang-out place! Great space for any type of event, able to do ceremony and reception with no problem; nice décor 2 DJ booths, good size bathrooms, intricate fixtures, booth-style seating on the top floor
Lovely setting in the cellar off of Macdougal St. Great escape from the mayhem above. Always full of surprises! Overall a really awesome place! Definitely check this place out while you’re in New York.
