Volstead’s Emporium Bar Minneapolis, Guide & Review
Volstead’s Emporium is the perfect speakeasy for you to drop by. You might have to work a bit to find the entrance near the rear end of the parking lot, but as soon as you step in, you won’t regret it. The steel door with the red light looks shady, but you step into a different era as soon as you knock and enter. You’re transported to the 1930s with velvet curtains, chandeliers, dim, moody lighting, jazz music, and multiple lounge rooms for you to sit in.
If it’s your lucky day, you might even see a live performance with the grand piano and vintage microphone. There are two-way mirrors and hidden rooms for you to enjoy your food. There are risottos, canapes, steaks, and many other delicious dishes for you to choose from. The menu is limited, but the options here are curated well. The cocktails here are made with the freshest components from all around the place. With some exciting mixes that result in the best concoctions you have tasted, this place is an experience to remember.
The speakeasy is open from Thursday to Monday, so plan something this weekend! Their music performances are displayed on their website with all the artists and bands that are performing in the near future. You will be surprised at how many people you will find in this place even though it is hidden and very discreet
