Waldo Thai has been voted as Kansas City’s best Thai restaurant. Waldo Thai is a family owned restaurant that opened in 2018 in Waldo, Missouri, just south of downtown Kansas City. Guests of Waldo Thai can expect an original experience dining authentic Northern Thai cuisine in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with the highest levels of hospitality and care. Waldo Thai features delicious food – every dish achieves the elusive, cuisine-defining balance in sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavors. Their dining program is the result of traditions passed down through generations; flavors common to the eateries in temperate Northern Thailand, and the preparation and cooking skills honed through education and practice. 

Led by their Executive Chef Pam Liberda, their team practiced the techniques and methods required to produce their authentic and accessible cuisine. Their team strives to use the freshest and most authentic ingredients available in both their food and their beverages. They always support and feature local farmers and emigrant-owned businesses in the Kansas City Metro Area. Many of their offerings utilize ingredients common in Asia; they love introducing and sharing those flavors with their guests. 

Waldo Thai craft cocktail program is based on traditional and professional methodology. You’ll discover the best in their diverse collection of spirits. Their cocktails use syrups and infusions made in-house with fresh pressed juices and high quality ingredients, while their beer and wine menus are curated to reflect their flavors put out by their Kitchen. Waldo Thai operates Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm, and Friday & Saturday 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Waldo Thai features a menu featuring traditional Thai dishes; delicious cocktails in a contemporary setting with a Asian decor; delicious freshly prepared and served hot food; decent prices & large & filing portions; attentive, friendly & knowledgeable bartenders; attentive customer service; great outdoor patio; plenty of comfy seatings; delicious strong & tasty drinks; and state-of-the-art lighting & sound system.
