BASE Bordeaux, Guide & Review

The BASE is a new huge complex located on 287, boulevard Alfred Daney, Bordeaux not far from the Underwater Base. It opened its doors to visitors after 15 months of hard work with the opening evening show called “The Base makes its Show”. From its opening this place has established it self as a very unique concept in France and perhaps in the all Europe. Establishment features 2000 m ² of space which combines night club, spaces of restoration and vast terraces, all that located a few steps from the Cité du Vin in the Port Autonome district. Place got its name because of its proximity to the Underwater Base on 287 Alfred Daney Boulevard. This massive project was led by Ozgur Hezer, boss of the Light Club, Christian Messaris and Franck Bello.
Interior space is reminiscent to that of a warehouse, but with big columns, a waterfall and palm trees, space feels like a temple that is decorated in Mediterranean style. Establishment offers a truly unique concept with a „show in the nightclub“. They needed to build a scene as an arena with huge podium in the middle that is 13 meters long and 2 meters wide. On that podium performers will „perform from 2 to 5 am through 10 tableaus”. Drinks selection is phenomenal and there are 3 bars, 60 meters long, so you can order a drink at any point in the night. Drink prices are reasonable.

Establishment offers private spaces that are separated by thick glass plates. If you come with your friends and want to spent the night in the private space you will spend around 400 euros to enjoy all benefits like USB ports, outlets or a button to call the server to your table. Club has a guarded parking that is very secure, with more than 50 cameras inside and outside.

They organize events that feature international artists like DJ Snake, Nicki Minaj or David Guetta … Base is one of a few nightclubs in Bordeaux that is opened till morning.
