1. Boombox

Boombox is a club that brings too much to the table. With its diverse music choices ranging from electro-pop to indie, hip hop, house, and techno. In addition, this gay bar also hosts a variety of drag acts during the week. Moreover, the drinks are plenty in this club, and in affordable prices. The club also hosts different famous DJs to play the venue and to motivate the party goers to dance the night away. 

2. Kremlin

The Kremlin is a club that’s hard to miss. Mainly, because of the life-sized statue of Lenin that resides above the entrance. This club was the first-ever gay club in Northern Ireland and opened in 1999. Moreover, this club is also still quite popular in Ireland. The club is spread into three separate categories, Tsar the cocktail lounge, Long Bar, and disco bar, and lastly, the red square which is the main hub and hosts a variety of live performances and DJ nights. 

3. Maverick

Maverick opened up in 2013 and it has been dubbed the Queer Quarter of Belfast. The club is radical and was once considered ahead of its times. It is in the middle of Belfast and is open throughout the week. Their bar serves a number of cocktails, wines and a wide selection of beer. There is entertainment, dancing and only acceptance at the Maverick. On Sundays enjoy the drag cabaret, comedy special and karaoke. 

4. Union Street

Union Street opened up in 2004 and has been serving the LGBT community in Belfast since then. The establishment also doubles as a restaurant and serves lunch and dinner during the day time. At night you can attend drag shows, karaoke nights, cabarets and live music performances. They also have a rooftop bar which is perfect for summer nights.

5. Taboo

Taboo Bristol

Taboo is a gay night club in Belfast which pops up once every month. It is housed inside Mandela Hal and it is open to everyone. The club is frequented by young crowds, students, but also older people. They do not discriminate and anyone can join in the fun regardless of background, race or sexual orientation. The club nights includes entertainment in the form of drag racing, cabaret, themed parties and dance nights.
