Sarasota Dance Club Sarasota, Guide & Review

Saratosa is a Dance club & nightclub, performance and event venue, and performing arts school. If you dance to escape the world, find peace within yourself and feel free then Sarasota is the place to be.

Owner and Founder, Patrick Johnson, is a trained competitive dancer from age of 4 and won ballroom dance competitions around the world in his early years. He went on to become the United Kingdom and European Amateur Latin Champion, and the Amateur European Ten Dance Champion.

After retiring as a competitor, Patrick began a career as the Dance Board Chairman of a highly regarded dance affiliation. He has been in the business most of his life and has owned many successful dance studios throughout the United States over the years, but he says Dancing on the Suncoast is the best one yet. Patrick is a world class adjudicator and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (N.A.D.T.A).

Sarasota Dance Club prides itself in hosting the following: Wedding dance, practice parties, private lessons, competitive lessons, group classes and social events and cruises.

Do you want to learn to dance for fun? How about for exercise? Or an upcoming wedding, trip, or party? Sarasota will definitely get you ready for cruises, night clubs, corporate and family events! Dancing on the Suncoast is the place for you to do just that. Private lessons that include Salsa, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, and many more will ensure you are good to go. You will definitely stand out and make a great impression on any styles of partner dancing at any level.

You can’t avoid competitive lessons if you really want a challenge, and you dream of becoming a star on the dance floor. Dance competitions are fun and exciting where you get to meet several interesting characters. These competitive dance events will improve your self confidence on, and off, the dance floor. We have several dance competitions all around the world. To get you started, you’ll do demonstrations at our Social parties, showcases and mini-matches.

Group classes here range from beginner to advanced and are open to all current students. Group classes are an important part of learning to dance because they help you learn he in’s and out’s of leading and following, a variety of dances and improve your technique. All levels of students can participate in an open and fun class setting. Classes are usually throughout the week in the evenings.

The venue conducts Social Parties every week in order to prepare our students to have a chance to use all their new dance moves in a real world setting when they are socially dancing. Don’t worry about whether or not you have a partner because at our parties everyone dances with each other and there are plenty of enthusiastic instructors to help you along the way.

These socials give students the opportunity to dance and meet other students, as well as the other instructors. They set up our studio with a “night club” ambiance so students have fun.

Your Wedding Day will be one of the most memorable days of your life and your first dance will make it much more special. They will definitely choreograph your dance to your wedding song, and to your wedding party, teach you to dance with confidence and grace making your wedding magical.

A few things you should know for your dance lesson. What kind of music will it have? Will it be Live band or DJ? Will the wedding party be dancing? What will be the size of the dance floor?

Sarasota Dance Club is an expert dance instruction in an elegant atmosphere, using both contemporary and older music, all to make learning that much more exciting and easy to “walk in and dance out”.
