The food was excellent. For £35 it was fantastic value. In the Hour and a half, I think the waiter provided me with 11 drinks, cocktails, and gin and prosecco were available in lots of choices.

Having worked at Dirty Martini a few years ago, I always have high expectations because I know how much emphasis they place on their service across the country. It’s great to see that this is common for them since the service I had from Maya today was outstanding. She’d made my birthday bottomless brunch particularly memorable, and I could see she was attentive to her other customers without being obtrusive. She had a keen sense of when to approach and back off. Knowing she’d only been with the company for a few months was a testament to their recruitment and training abilities, as she was just marvelous and a natural. The beautifully selected bar dominates your eyeliner and offers well over 300 bottles, all while being soundtracked with achingly cool hip hop, dim lighting, and flickering candles. The educated crew will walk you into the back bar by ladder, skilfully mixing into creative cocktails or serving straight through elegant sampling glasses. But don’t be fooled by the high quality of the cocktails.
This is still a neighborhood joint that serves your drinks with comfortable table-side flair. Pennyroyal is paving the way in Cardiff’s burgeoning artisan cocktail sector, earning national acclaim. We stumbled onto Pennyroyal by coincidence and are glad we did! We had arranged a double date night with friends and completely overlooked that it was also a match day, and the town was packed. We skipped the regular Mill Lane bars and went a little higher up to avoid the crowds. Pennyroyal’s table service was excellent! We noted they kindly handled groups, discouraging those on all-day playing sessions – no friction or unpleasantness, incredibly well done! The beverages were fantastic. Not inexpensive, but well-crafted drinks worth every cent, as opposed to the watered-down pre-mix alternatives at the larger chains. The service was swift and responsive; I had no complaints.
Staff that understood their beverages and looked to enjoy their jobs. My pregnant buddy and I received some excellent non-alcoholic alternatives created by the fantastic bar staff, and my husband chose his old favorite from the menu. I will be back and look forward to the day when I can drink alcohol! The cocktail menu was pretty interesting, and the staff was ready to go off the menu as well. Our drinks were so incredible that we stayed for a long time sampling other ones. It was a fantastic experience! We each ordered one cocktail from the menu, and the staff then prepared various cocktails based on our favorite flavors, which were all wonderful! Every staff member was attentive and pleasant, ensuring we had a wonderful time! If you like cocktails, I recommend visiting Pennyroyal; we’ll be back!

You’d never guess this location exists. You knock on the door of what looks to be an old building, and a member of staff lets you in. The crew is knowledgeable about the Dragon Menu’s odd drinks and will create an alternate beverage if you want something else. It’s a touch more expensive than your regular cocktail bar, but it’s worth it because they pack a punch. We had a fantastic day and will surely be back.
I can’t suggest it enough. I reserved a table for my boyfriend’s birthday cocktails. We both enjoy whisky, and the guy who served us was both eager and knowledgeable. He made some excellent recommendations. We had a cocktail and four different whiskeys; we wished we had more time, mainly because the total cost was much lower than expected based on our beverages! We adored Dead Canary; it has so many unique features that we couldn’t criticize it. Everything was beautiful, from the secret back entrance to the helpful person to the beautifully printed menu (which you can purchase for £20!), the fantastic themed decor, and the excellent music selection at precisely the correct loudness to facilitate discussion. There were several drinks to pick from, each with a unique flavor and presentation. The drinks were distinctively Dead Canary, imaginative, and intriguing.

The diner, housed in one of the city’s most engaging retail locations, delivers the same lively Indian street food that has made its sibling places successful. With a focus on comfort cuisine, you’ll discover a great assortment of dishes at Mowgli, including street-style chair and savory tiffin boxes packed with meat, veg, and lots of carbohydrates, as well as Goan fish curry and Bunny Chow – chicken and potato curry, served in a bread loaf.

The chef freshly baked the gastronomic delights of Naan bread, authentic Onion Bargees, and fresh Sea Bass. Delicious dinner and service. We will return! I’ve been a Mowgli’s customer for the past year. The cuisine is always excellent, and the service is second to none.
I strongly suggest it to anybody searching for good Indian food at a fair price. The service was attentive and asked us frequently if we needed anything and how we liked the dinner. Very student-friendly and active for a Tuesday evening! Fantastic place, the inside décor is just stunning, and I think it’s the best meal I have ever eaten. Beautiful Indian street food feels so authentic and reasonably priced, considering the quality of the food. Sat on a swing under the fairy lights was a perfect evening. 10/10 from me! Mowgli’s is our go-to Indian restaurant in Cardiff, and we believe it is the greatest in the city. On Saturday, July 16th, I took a few of my friends to The Libertine for cocktails before lunch. I had a great day enjoying the music, environment, and beverages. Amy, the young hostess who served us, was attentive and knowledgeable, and my friends who were visiting for the first time and I had been ‘bigging it up.’ I’ll recommend it to my friends and coworkers. This great tavern provided us with drinks and refreshments. Felix was kind and attentive. He realized we didn’t have much time before our lunch, so he rushed through our final round of drinks! He called the restaurant where we were headed for dinner to let them know we were on our way after our drinks. Lovely atmosphere in this bar with friendly staff and a chilled-out, relaxing vibe throughout our visit. Highly recommended! Well done, Marius and your team. A trendy place. OUTSTANDING!!! We returned the next night since it was so wonderful. The door personnel are quite kind. We booked a reservation for my best friend’s hen party, and when we arrived, we were escorted directly to our table with no waiting or bother. There are so many different drinks and shots to try. The music is on fire!! We will surely return when we are next in Cardiff.

Well-crafted cocktails and brews all within a live music environment – Swing, Blues, Rock n Roll, Jazz, and Soul. The Bootlegger Cardiff is decorated with unique décor inspired by the end of Prohibition, such as repurposed wood, battered metal, and local graffiti art. Better yet, DJs and live music add even more of a quirky party vibe to a night out here. The Bootlegger stands boldly amid other independent venues on Womanby Street, a street recognized for its strong support for live music. This vast setting will enchant you with its joys up and down stairs, hidden behind a little inconspicuous street facade. Reclaimed wood, hammered metal, and local graffiti work create a trendy yet cozy ambiance that harkens back to a period when Prohibition reigned supreme.

Live music and DJs light up the night, allowing you to drink, dance, and marvel at The Bootlegger’s delights. We had a terrific night, had fantastic cocktails, and appreciated the environment. Thank you again for a beautiful experience; we shall return. I reserved the Bootlegger for my companion and me for Friday night. It was pretty crowded, but I’m pleased I booked since it ensured we got a seat. I liked the ambiance here, and the drinks selection was well-executed. The cocktails were beautiful, and the bartenders enjoyed crafting them. The live music was predominantly northern soul/motown, and you couldn’t help but feel good about the whole thing.
We had such a good time! Icame with my gf to celebrate our anniversary, and despite scheduling at the last minute, we could nab a table in the exact position within the bar, which was incredibly pleasant. When I entered, I was greeted by a friendly man named Salvatore Colloca, who made me and my girlfriend feel extremely special. He gladly assigned us to our seats and explained everything about the bar and drinks menu, taking the time to go through every page of the cocktail list. I greatly appreciated his time and work on this; he is a valuable member of your team! He has excellent communication abilities and made us laugh as well! He made our night memorable, and I will certainly come back! A fantastic bar with a fantastic staff!

A cutesy independent, sitting pretty on Mill Lane, Pitch is a must-try destination for cocktails and dining alike. With their rustic Scandi-style edge, Pitch makes for a special evening of seasonably sourced plates, drinking on the patio, lush cocktails, and early evening date nights. Pitch, a lovely independent in the middle of Mill Lane, will entice visitors looking for delicious cuisine, smartly crafted drinks, and rustic British décor. Pitch’s interiors are lovingly British with a Scandi flair, with low-hanging light bulbs, exposed brickwork, salvaged furniture, alcoholic booths, and white-washed wood. Tuck down at the tables and enjoy the flavors and beautiful flowers.

Guests may binge on meals like a marmalade glazed belly of pork for £12.50 or Welsh laverbread and potato cake for £6.50, with their chef conjuring up classics with seasonably sourced platters and fresh cuisine. After reading good reviews online, my partner and I visited Pitch for an evening meal. Being tourists, we wanted to try some traditional Welsh dishes. We both had the lamb cawl, which was very good. The food was hearty and delicious, with suitable portions and excellent quality. Service was good, and the food arrived promptly.
We decided to return for lunch the following day for the sausage and mash and traditional rarebit, which again did not disappoint. I highly recommend it to any tourist who wants to try quality Welsh food in a relaxed and vibrant environment. We went to Pitch for a light evening dinner and drinks and were pretty satisfied with the shared platter. The plate cost £14 and such a selection! We served skewers of chicken and chorizo, lamb kofta, giant chunky wedges, garlic bread, coleslaw, salad, and chips. The food was hot, freshly cooked, and of high quality. I came here on a Sunday with my family when I visited for the weekend. We had the Sunday roast platter with beef, breakfast, and a carbonara. All STUNNING, the beef was so thick cut and loads of gravy the ambiance was so lovely as we sat outside amiable staff. We will be back!
