Cats at Rocket Adelaide, Guide & Review
Rocket, which is part of the Electric Circus complex, is known for its live bands and local and interstate DJs who play a mix of house, disco, and indie music. Rocket, located behind Hindley Street on Crippen Place, is a little more laid-back than Electric Circus or Mr Kim’s (EC’s other bars), but it’s no less popular.
Rocket’s wildly popular rooftop bar opened in late 2012, offering table service as well as a bar with cocktails, premium wines, and ciders. Relax and unwind in the surroundings, which include a lawn and a large palm tree with views of the city lights. Punk Ass Kids is a staple at Rocket, with beer deals, food trucks, and rooftop cinema screening some of the greatest new and old classics and cult films. Rocket also presents Cats every Friday night, with indie and alternative live musicians from over the country a popular draw. A bar like this, with all of its excellent features and events, is what Adelaide has been seeking for a long time – well done, people!
Rocket Rooftop is an outdoor bar located above Rocket Bar, a live music venue that provides a relaxing atmosphere as well as a fully functional bar selling premium cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer away from its CBD location.
This one-of-a-kind venue seats up to 100 people and provides enough seating and weather protection, making it ideal for a night out or a private celebration or function. Rocket Rooftop is Adelaide’s premier open air venue, with a quality set out centered around a 120-year-old Cycad tree.
There’s always something going on on Friday and Saturday, as well as most Public Holiday eves. For more information about forthcoming events, visit our website.
