Crews and Tangos Bar is Located in the heart of the church – Wellesley Gay village and top part destination, encouraging a safe and welcoming environment where patrons can be themselves. Re-Opened in 2010 under New Management, Crews & Tangos strives to create a one of a kind party atmosphere with nightly main stage drag performance seven days a week, dancing Thursday – Saturday, and big screen karaoke every Thursday.
With the largest and highest prize amounts in the city, crews & Tangos provides opportunities for career & talent development for drag performers of every genre through the Miss Crews and Tangos Pageant and Crews and Tangos Drag Race every summer. With several major annual events throughout the year including our Halloween extravaganza you can always expect the most over the top drag performance and production in Toronto. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes.
The environment is friendly, and the entertainment is fabulous. Drinks at Crews and Tangos Bar are reasonably priced. All staff are very helpful and professional and always keep the drinks following. A very busy popular bar indeed in the centre of the village. It is a really cool bar on Church Street. Ground floor is taken by Drag Queens. Lots of dancing on the second floor. Really mixed and fun crowds all over while drag queens are extremely entertaining. Your visit to Crews & Tangos will definitely be your favorite thing you will do in Toronto, and we will gladly go back!
