Palais Maillot Paris, Guide & Review

The Palais Maillot is a modern nightclub in Paris, that first opened its doors in 2007. within the Palais de Congres. The venue has a contemporary design with black walls, reds and purples for the seating areas, with classical baroque styled chandeliers that totally contrast with the chic and modern design of this venue. It is quite nicely sized, with an open dance floor, an elevated bar area, and a tunnel of booths. The overall theme is that of a grand ballroom, warm wooden floorboards, elaborate chandeliers, and a rococo-style bar create a sense of relaxation and warmth.

The dance floor is spacious, allowing for many people to groove and mingle without feeling cramped or too warm. The elevated bar creates a nice separation between the dance floor and the service area, and seems to help speed up how quickly drinks arrive. And the lounge area, with soft lighting and comfortable, open plan seating, lets you enjoy the music and watch the dancing in comfort.

Music at the Palais Maillot club in Paris is quite mixed, pop, rock, electronic, and house tend to dominate. The DJs are local talent and in-house DJs. The drinks at this Paris nightclub are delightful. Specialist cocktails, high end bottles, unique blends by trained mixologists… Expect some of the best drinks in Paris at this nightclub. However remember that you have to pay for that level of quality as thee prices are a bit on the high end.

The venue is insanely crowded and you can expect to queue a while before getting in. You really need to be on the guest list or to order bottle service to guarantee a night in this exclusive venue, also we would strongly advise that a smart, almost formal attire, is required, as the management does have the right to refuse entry if they feel you are not dressed appropriately or acting in a civilised manner.

Dress Code & Age Requirement

You need to be dressed smartly, but hip. Can’t get in in anything slobby, but you will have a hard time getting in if you look overdressed too. Go for smart casual, no sportswear, and you stand a pretty good chance. But being on the guest list is still essential.

Minimum Age: 18

Weekly Program

The Thursday Afterwork Evening starts at 7pm and they provide a sumptuous buffet that you can enjoy with drinks either inside accompanied by lounge music or outside on the terrace area, which is heated in winter. But at 9pm the mood changes and turns into a major clubbing scene with its extremely large dance floor for you to party the night away until 1am and entry on this night is €15 as of 2014.

When it comes to a Friday and Saturday night, this is purely a clubbing scene at the Palais Maillot that runs from 11pm through to 5am. And with top DJs providing the sounds through to famous music artists like Britney Spears, Timbaland or the Pussycat Dolls having also performed at the Palais Maillot, it is a night to remember for both hip locals and tourists.

Music Style

The music at the Palais Maillot club in Paris is quite standard fare. Pop, rock, electronic, and house tend to dominate. The DJs are local talent and in-house DJs. As far as we can tell they do not feature celebrity DJs, although some very talented Parisian DJs have featured too. Overall the music is fun and very danceable, though, and you will enjoy yourself on the floor.
