The Best Places to go Clubbing in Bordeaux
1) BASE Bordeaux
BASE Bordeaux is a new huge complex located on 287, boulevard Alfred Daney, Bordeaux not far from the Underwater Base. It opened its doors to visitors after 15 months of hard work with the opening evening show called “The Base makes its Show”. From its opening this place has established it self as a very unique concept in France and perhaps in the all Europe.
Establishment features 2000 m ² of space which combines night club, spaces of restoration and vast terraces, all that located a few steps from the Cité du Vin in the Port Autonome district. Place got its name because of its proximity to the Underwater Base on 287 Alfred Daney Boulevard. This massive project was led by Ozgur Hezer, boss of the Light Club, Christian Messaris and Franck Bello.
2) Théatro Bordeaux
Théatro Bordeaux is located near the the quai de Bacalan, on 24 Rue de la Faïencerie to be exact. It is situated in an ideal place, quiet area, that is at the foot of tram B. For people that live outside the center of Bordeaux, the box offers a free shuttle service also. Place is very eye-catching and popular, party people of Bordeaux call it the Mecca of the Bordeaux night.
When you enter into the club you are presented with well thought out and large space, sofas, bars and VIP areas are on the sides, which gives you plenty of space to show off your dance moves. Room is large and its fluorescent appearance will immediately get you in the party mood. Average age is closer to 30 with a very healthy mix of men and women.
3) Le Cercle Bordeaux
Le Cercle Bordeaux is a go-to nightclub located in the heart of Bordeaux, right next to the Grand Theater and Tourny. Atmosphere in the club is chic and trendy and we are certain that you will spend incredible evenings in one of the most popular discotheques in the Bordeaux.
Interior of Le Cercle is sophisticated and it features, dark light décor and atmosphere that is conducive to dancing. Club opens its doors from 23.30 every Wednesday and Thursday nights and you have free admission, on Friday and Saturday nights there is an entrance fee, that is 15 € with consummation. Le Cercle is open from Wednesday to Sunday, usually from 23.30 to 05.30 am.
4) Le monseigneur Bordeaux
Le monseigneur Bordeaux is a nightclub located 42 allées d’orleans, Bordeaux it has been recently revamped in 2015 so the whole club feels and looks modern. Interior is refurbished and it shines, there is no more red paint and the establishment feels recent. Felted black and silver decoration really sets the mood, new staff is very welcoming and friendly.
Le monseigneur is positioned in the city center of Bordeaux, between the Place des Quinconces and the Grand Theater so its hard to miss it. It is known as one of the oldest nightclubs in Bordeaux, and it that time it was called the “Cabaret Monseigneur”, place with selected clientele, fine atmosphere and great music.
5) La Pachanga Bordeaux
La Pachanga Bordeaux is a nightclub that looks and feels as a hacienda in the heart of the quays of Paludate. Le Pachanga is an enclave colonized by Afro-Cuban rhythms of salsa, samba, latin or by any other style of music, it is a disco called generalist. This establishment represents a rallying point for night owls, this historical venue is located in the liveliest corner of “Bordeaux by night” which contributes to its popularity.
Night club is open from Thursday to Saturday from 12.00 am to 7.30 am. You will enjoy evenings in a good atmosphere, and dance whole night to the sounds of the Caribbean Mix Mix and sound ragga, dance hall, offbeat, kuduro & kizomba, afro beat, Afro Cuban, meringue conga and cha-cha-cha!
They feature various local and international DJs, their resident DJ is local and programmation is always good. Music is mostly Afro-Cuban rhythms as we said, but there are certain themed nights in which music style changes accordingly.
This is truly a place for fiesta lovers, you will feel the warmth of the night, as you enjoy tropical music and great drinks. Their bar is well stocked and they have various branded drinks as well as cocktails and their homemade shooters. We strongly suggest you to try their cocktails and shooters, prices are also very reasonable.
6) LA PLAGE Bordeaux
LA PLAGE Bordeaux is very known nightclub located quai de Paludate and it is known as the true institution of the night. Located neat the city center, this establishment has been in existence for over 15 years. From 2008 to the present day, club has undergone new developments and expansions.
Since 2014 this venue became one of the largest night clubs in Europe, and it has 6 rooms that span over 10.000 m2. La Plage as its name suggests, features summery atmosphere with light effects and a beautiful sea décor, bars nestled in hulls of boats, palm trees and an open-air room to dance under the bright sky.
Atmosphere in the largest club in the Gironde capital is mythical, and the experience is accompanied by sound and light systems of the latest generation. They have foam machines that strategically wait until the hottest point in the night, to disperse foam into the dancing crowd making the experience that much crazier.
7) Black Diamond Bordeaux
Black Diamond Bordeaux is the most exclusive private club in the city. Black Diamond is part of the Grand Hotel and it features cozy and intimate setting, perfect for spending an exciting evening with your friends. This place is truly an image of clientele it draws, chic and refined establishment.
Box is divided into two rooms, which are always full with regulars. Black Diamond welcomes you in its cozy intimate interior that features iconic padded walls, black purple armchairs and benches. There is a smoking room and a cigar cellar at your disposal.
8) L’Eclypse Bordeaux
L’Eclypse Bordeaux is one of the most famous establishments in town, and it will make your nights more than unforgettable! Strategically located 10 minutes from downtown L’Eclypse is known for its crazy atmosphere that lasts throughout the whole night. Few hundred meters from the Pont Saint-Jean, you can spot L’Eclypse famous sign sparkling in the beauty of the night.
The discotheque was taken over three years ago, and since than it became a concept place that combines club, karaoke and retro dance activities. Interior of this nightclub is nicely decorated and feels very cozy and intimate, it is a perfect place to spend quality time with your friends while enjoying couple of drinks at their large bar.
