The Commodore Charleston, Guide & Review
The Commodore located on Meeting Street brings to you a timeless experience with its vintage velvet green and brass bar stools. Light from the time-old chandeliers bounces off the shiny black walls making the whole room glitter. You can not think vintage without envisioning the class velvet curtains. They envelop the stage and a sparkling disco ball makes the whole dance floor light up with its reflections. The interior has been carefully and strategically designed to keep alive the spirit of the original Jazz club that graced Meeting Street with its swanky tunes back in the 80s. The atmosphere will make you feel like you have stepped back in time as you venture through the Commodore. Walls adorned with classic photos indicating the popularity of jazz back in the days, the club still hosts notable jazz and funk acts from all over the country. Today, the Commodore happens to be an act of class in modern-day Charleston. They host upto 5 Live Music nights a week and you can check out their social media pages for the ever-exciting lineups and schedules.
If you are not one to sway on the dancefloor and let go of your inhibitions with the Live Music being played, you can always find a comfortable spot on the booth and enjoy signature cocktails from the extensive menu that the venue has to offer. The Commodore welcomes adults 23 and above from Tuesday through Sunday. The club opens at 5pm so it is a great spot to hangout, relax, unwind or get the groove going on the dancefloor after work. The party goes on till 2 in the morning. The venue is highly reviewed on popular sites and it is sure to add charm to your night whether you are a resident of Charleston or just a visitor.
